Intermediate Teacher

Mrs. Sheets is a second-generation American, born and raised in San Francisco, California. As a teenager she was selected as a Youth Commissioner for her district, working closely with the San Francisco Board of Supervisors on youth related matters. She also worked for Edgewood Center for Children and Families under the Youth Kinship Program and SFPD Domestic Violence Response Unit as a youth intern.

Upon graduating high school she enlisted in the U.S. Army as a Military Police. In her 14 year career she served in various roles including Squad Leader, Master Resilience Trainer, Personal Security Officer, Drill Sergeant, Instructor and Inspector General Assistant.

She earned her BA in Business Administration from American Military University, and is completing her MAT in Elementary Education (K-6) through Liberty University.

She is a military spouse of 12 years to her husband Charles, and mother to Mason and Emma who both attend Lawton Academy. She often volunteers in children’s ministry, has taught in the El Paso School District and Lawton Public Schools, and is currently an intermediate teacher at Lawton Academy.
