School Profile
Lawton Academy of Arts & Sciences, founded in 1999, serves the unique needs of intellectually, academically and creatively accelerated students. The primary mission of the school is to motivate students with a rigorous and accelerated scholastic curriculum that is complemented with substantive and meaningful enrichment opportunities. Our goal is to educate our students to become employers rather than employees. Currently there are 213 PK – 12th grade students (117 students in the elementary school and 63 in the secondary school). Admission to Lawton Academy is not limited to gifted students. However, students must pass benchmarks to continue at the school because of the increasing difficulty in the curriculum. Lawton Academy is accredited by North Central Association, Commission on Accreditation and School Improvement (NCA CASI)/AdvancEd (now called Cognia) which is recognized for accreditation by the Oklahoma State Department of Education, and holds membership in the College Board. 80% of the secondary faculty hold master’s degrees or higher.

Lawton Academy‘s Achievement Tests for 2021
*Our 9th and 10th grades are considered too small for the College Board to list our averages, so we had to figure and insert our own averages. These averages are based upon our students’ individual scores.
