Mrs. Gibbs graduated with distinction from Indiana University with a B.S. in Elementary Education, a minor in Psychology, and a Minor in Dance. She holds an Early Childhood – 6th Grade Generalist license with endorsements in English as a Second Language and Gifted and Talented Education. While attending IU she was recruited to join Psi Chi, honors psychology organization, and Pi Lambda Theta, honors educator organization. As a member of PLT, she was selected to be on the national advisory committee who met once a year in Washington, D.C. to plan the future direction of the organization.
Since graduating Mrs. Gibbs has taught homeschool, elementary school, middle school, and adults in multiple settings. She has created curriculum for schools and businesses. Most notably, she created a holistic leadership curriculum integrating real world problem solving, global awareness, self improvement, empathy, creativity, and team building.
Mrs. Gibbs loves to spend time with her family and travel. She has lived in eight different states, and mostly recently moved to Oklahoma when her husband was stationed at Ft Sill. She has two daughters who attend Lawton Academy.
